A Single-Tier Credential
Unlike Water Treatment (Class IV through Class I), Georgia's Water Distribution System Operator certification is a single, non-tiered credential. It covers the installation, maintenance, and operation of water mains, valves, hydrants, storage tanks, and booster pumping stations, along with cross-connection control and corrosion-control monitoring.
It is issued by the same Georgia State Board of Examiners as the treatment classes and renews on the same biennial cycle.
