Meter Sizing Basics
Every meter has a flow range it is designed to measure accurately, bounded by a minimum flow (below which registration becomes unreliable) and a maximum flow (above which the meter is damaged or inaccurate). Sizing a meter means matching that range to the customer's actual expected demand - not simply matching the meter size to the service line's pipe diameter.
